How competent do companies consider themselves to be in recognizing cyber threats at an early stage? As many as 39% of respondents consider their own company to be "more than sufficiently" and "sufficiently" prepared to counter data theft, sabotage and espionage. However, the clear majority (60%) do not consider themselves to be sufficiently prepared. This self-critical view is shared across all size categories. According to Bitkom, it would be important to invest in additional security measures and establish a security culture that sensitizes all parts of the company and thus prevents attacks.
