Dold has extended the functional scope of the modular and configurable Safemaster Pro safety system. A maximum of four speed monitoring modules can now be integrated into the system. They enable safe drive monitoring in both automatic and set-up mode. The system for safety requirements up to PLe/Cat 4 or SIL CL3 offers modules for safe speed and standstill monitoring of one or two axes. Speed detection is carried out either via encoders or proximity switches. The 22.5 mm wide control unit already has eight safe inputs, two safe two-channel outputs and four test outputs and can also be used as a stand-alone module. In addition to the control unit, a maximum of 14 extension modules can be connected. In its maximum configuration, the safety system therefore has 128 safe inputs and 16 safety-related, two-channel semiconductor outputs. Safety functions such as emergency stop, safety gate, light barriers, two-hand or speed are monitored. The system is configured using the 'Safemaster Pro Designer' software via drag & drop.
