American Michael Wylie has focused on three main functions in the automation system he has developed: A humidity sensor monitors the plants' water requirements and sends the information to an electronic irrigation system. Raspberry Pi, EnOcean Pi and Eclipse/OpenHAB record climate data from a magnetic contact and temperature sensor and control the air conditioning system. The system also reminds the user to take medication. The user presses a kinetic switch as soon as they have taken the medication. If they forget to take the medication or press the switch, they are notified.
