The Siemens Industry Sector also positions itself in the field of e-mobility and announces a partnership with the Swedish car manufacturer Volvo Car Corporation in August. The cooperation focuses on the joint further development of electric drive technology, power electronics and charging technology as well as the integration of the systems in Volvo C30 Electric vehicles with a range of 150 km. From the end of 2012, Volvo intends to deliver a test series of up to 200 vehicles to Siemens, which will then be tested and validated under real operating conditions as a Siemens-internal test fleet.
