Nord Drivesystems is presenting decentralized drive concepts for the requirements of the process industry at Achema. Controlled drives with protection class IP66/IP69K are suitable for applications that require regular cleaning with high-pressure steam jets. The company supplies the mechatronic drive systems complete with geared motors, control electronics and functions from its own production. The FDA-certified (Title 21 CFR 175.300) anti-corrosion treatment 'nsd tupH', also developed in-house, gives the aluminum housings a smooth and durable surface. Even knocks or scratches do not reduce the corrosion resistance. As no material is applied, but the material surface is refined, there is no risk of contamination from process media, for example due to flaking paint.
