Balluff presents IO-Link master modules for Devicenet and Ethercat, which are suitable for implementing decentralized automation concepts without a control cabinet in IP67 with M12 connection technology. The modules with dimensions of 225 mm x 68 mm x 36.9 mm offer full IO-Link functionality. Up to 72 digital I/Os can be connected to the DeviceNet module via IO-Link and 136 I/Os with Ethercat. Both digital and intelligent, complex devices can be connected to the IO-Link ports of both modules - four for Devicenet and eight for Ethercat. It does not matter whether it is RFID, displacement measurement, pressure or distance sensors, color recognition or ultrasonic sensors - each device is connected via the IO-Link ports using the same interface with the same 3-wire sensor cable. The analog signals are also transmitted without interference via the IO-Link ports of the Devicenet or Ethercat module.
