Ultramat 7 and Calomat 7 analysis modules from Siemens
© Siemens
Siemens is offering two new analysis modules, Ultramat 7 and Calomat 7, for its Siprocess GA700 gas analysis system. Together with the Oxymat 7 module, users can flexibly assemble comprehensive analytical solutions, for example for measuring oxygen, hydrogen, noble gases or infrared-active components such as carbon monoxide and carbon dioxide, according to the manufacturer. The modular design of the Siprocess GA700 enables quick installation and replacement of the modules according to the 'plug & measure' principle. They are particularly suitable for process control and optimization in combustion plants as well as quality control and process monitoring in chemical and petrochemical plants. With the Calomat 7, users can carry out quantitative determinations of hydrogen and noble gases in binary or quasi-binary gas mixtures. The Ultramat 7 module measures up to two infrared-active components such as carbon monoxide and carbon dioxide. The device is suitable for measuring equipment for boiler control in combustion plants, for example. The module also enables users to measure process gas concentrations in chemical plants. Users can configure, parameterize and commission the Siprocess GA700 using the Simatic PDM (Process Device Manager) software tool.
