In 1992, IVO applied for a patent for its first absolute encoder with electronic multiturn scanning. This resulted in a family that today serves the common fieldbus and Ethernet interfaces. The various models support Profibus, CANopen, Devicenet, Ethercat, Ethernet, Profinet, Powerlink, fiber optics and SSI. The range includes both magnetic and optical encoders in single and multiturn versions. Encoders for the EX area are also available.
