The PT44 series laser scanners from ipf offer a measurement repeatability of up to 10 μm and a linearity deviation of just ±0.1% of the measuring range end value. This allows the devices to check the presence of even the smallest objects and detect overlaps in very thin materials. The laser scanners are available in three different versions with measuring ranges of 25 to 35 mm, 35 to 65 mm and 65 to 135 mm and a beam diameter of 10 to 70 µm. The measured distance values are shown on the integrated, four-digit display of the probes, which is also used to visualize the menu navigation during configuration. Options such as time, window or maximum/minimum function can be set via three function keys. In addition to the switchable digital and analog output (0 to 5 V(DC)), the devices offer an external input for triggering, controlling the laser power or setting the zero point. The laser scanners are housed in an aluminum housing and comply with protection class IP67.
