In version 3.13 of the SCADA system Simatic WinCC Open Architecture from Siemens, particular attention has been paid to the reporting function: Web-based reporting with the standardized reporting interface Simple Object Access Protocol (SOAP) has been implemented. This means that third-party reporting tools can be used without additional effort. Additional BIRT templates and predefined reporting data further simplify reporting. A new data management structure enables the processing of larger data volumes. A DB logger has been implemented to export user-defined data from the tool to external databases. This allows users to define and control the flow of information from the SCADA system to databases such as MySQL or RDB themselves. In order to be able to display data points in the SCADA environment in a more hierarchically flexible manner, a plant model has been implemented that allows users to define multiple hierarchies and reuse plant models in projects.
