Control 2019
Quality assurance trade fair attracts visitors to Stuttgart
The 'Control' - International Trade Fair for Quality Assurance - will take place this year from May 7 to 10. One of its focal points: image processing.
Modern measurement technology provides precise measurement data that is read and interpreted by machines more than ever before. The almost 900 exhibitors at Control will be showcasing the right equipment, appropriate advice and intelligent software for these and other QA requirements. Suitable interfaces, technologies and methods are needed to display measurement data on mobile devices such as tablets or VR glasses. A software platform with components for the interactive interpretation and visualization of measurement data should also be available. Industrial image processing plays an important role in this context. This is also demonstrated by the supporting program of the trade fair organized by P.E. Schall. One example is the 'Control Vision Talks' - a series of lectures by the European Machine Vision Association (EMVA) in Hall 6 (Stand 6515).
Another established partner of Control is the Fraunhofer Vision Alliance, whose special show 'Contactless Measurement Technology' will be held for the 15th time in 2019 (hall 6, stand 6401). It will showcase developments and technologies from the field of non-contact measurement and testing technology.
The Fraunhofer IPA Event Forum (Stand 8105), located in Hall 8, will focus on the topic of 'Machine learning and vision - a technological revolution thanks to artificial intelligence and modern image processing' in 2019. The demonstrations are intended to give trade fair visitors an impression of how artificial intelligence and innovative image and signal analysis are being used in an industrial environment. The focus will be on the capabilities and possible applications of machine learning methods and modern image processing in quality assurance.
The Exhibitor Forum (Hall 8, Stand 8308) is a communication platform for additional information about the participating companies and technologies as well as their respective product portfolios. In addition, speakers from research and teaching institutions will report on their innovations and experiences in theory and practice.
