Individualized production

In order to produce individualized content and packaging, each stage of a production and supply chain must know exactly what is to be done with the current product.

One obvious solution is to store the production information directly on the product or its primary container using serial code. If this code is linked to the production order, the individual sections receive all the necessary information from the ERP system. This is where the Vision System FH inspection system from Omron comes in. It allows up to eight cameras to be controlled per controller, enabling central coordination and programming of visual tasks. The 'Sysmac Studio software' and the associated control platform were created for the uniform control and programming of the packaging system and robots. During the packing and palletizing phase, products are sorted and packed according to deliveries and any aggregation requirements, for example for medical products, using the serial code. The solution combines serial code inspection, quality inspection, anti-tampering inspection and camera-based sorting into a complete inspection system.
