Combination of line scan camera, intelligent image processing and AI

Imago Technologies launches the 'Vision Cam XM2 Line Scan', an intelligent embedded line scan camera system that combines line scan camera technology, intelligent image processing and AI vision in one compact device.

As a line scan camera variant of the 'Vision Cam XM2' area scan camera system, the camera from Imago combines line scan technology with intelligent image processing. Equipped with an Nvidia Orin system-on-a-chip, it delivers high computing power for complex image processing. With its high-resolution 2.5k sensor and flexible programmability, it is suitable for demanding image processing applications for continuous materials, particularly in the production, pharmaceutical, packaging, food and printing sectors. Thanks to its Edge AI functionality, it can perform complex tasks such as real-time defect detection, object detection and process optimization directly on the camera. With its compact dimensions and integrated real-time communication control, the camera is suitable for confined spaces in machines. It offers flexibility through its free programmability and support for over 2,000 operators from the Halcon library, including GPU and AI functions. Application development is simplified by the intuitive 'ViewIT' software platform. Developers can use pre-built functions as well as integrate their own algorithms in Python, C++ or other languages.
