High Speed Vision
Extremely light-sensitive UHS camera
The ultra high-speed camera 'Phantom T4040' from High Speed Vision enables the analysis of fast sporadic events in research, development, automation and quality assurance.
According to High Speed Vision, the backside-illuminated (BSI) 12-bit CMOS image sensor developed for the camera manufacturer Vision Research significantly increases the efficiency of the image pixel. This increases the data throughput to up to 40 GP/s. At a maximum image resolution of 2560 x 1664 pixels, 9,350 images/s are achieved. The reduced image resolution enables up to 444,000 fps. The quantum efficiency of the pixels of over 90 % ensures that the sensor works optimally in low light conditions and significantly minimizes the signal-to-noise ratio. In many cases, this enables use in normal daylight and opens up a light sensitivity ISO for mono of 12,500 to 64,000, color 3,200 to 16,000. A further increase is achieved by the binned mode. The camera offers exposure times of at least 1 µs as standard and 250 ns in the 'Fast' option.
