Acquisition by ITIS Holding
ITIS Holding, a PPF Group company, intends to take over the Vitronic Group. The aim is to create a globally active company for intelligent transportation, infrastructure and automation solutions.
The family-owned Vitronic Group develops solutions in the form of products and software for image-based quality inspection, identification and process optimization for use in automation and traffic engineering. The current annual turnover (2022) is 208 million euros and the company is currently represented on five continents in over 80 countries with more than 1,400 employees. With activities in the areas of traffic control, toll systems and industrial automation, the company is represented in numerous industries and markets worldwide.
ITIS Holding, a provider in the operation of toll systems, covers the activities of the PPF Group in the area of investments in intelligent transportation infrastructure. The addition of the Vitronic Group to ITIS Holding strengthens the overall portfolio with various technologies and expands R&D capacities. The holding company is active in Central and Eastern European countries - particularly the Balkan countries - and also covers Indonesia and India. The Vitronic Group mainly serves markets in North and South America, Europe, the Middle East, Asia, Africa and Oceania.
The closing of the transaction is subject to review by the antitrust authorities in Germany and other countries. The parties have decided not to disclose the financial parameters of the transaction.
