The Artificial Intelligence Forum 2020 is taking place virtually for the first time this year. As a participant, you can experience the top-class program with four keynotes from international AI experts from your computer or our app. Those responsible for the Computer&AUTOMATION, Elektronik and Elektronik Automotive trade media have been able to secure keynote speakers:

  • Reinhard Karger from DFKI: "AI + humans = unbeatable together!"
Artificial intelligence (AI) is the attempt to have computers perform services for which humans need intelligence. The aim is to offer people physical or cognitive assistance functions. Current AI applications enable diagnostic support for doctors, more efficient processes in companies, relief from monotonous work routines, new forms of mobility, new services and business models, new consumer electronic products. The focus is now on specific questions and goals that SMEs can address and on concrete solutions to help them achieve these with AI.
  • Prof. Dr. Christoph Lütge from TU Munich: "Ethics in artificial intelligence"
Artificial intelligence has the potential to sustainably improve the lives of many people, be it in healthcare, autonomous driving, big data applications and much more. But they need clear rules in order to realize this potential. These rules should not only be legal regulations; above all, ethical guidelines are needed to address widespread fears.
  • Dr. Steven Peters from Mercedes-Benz: "AI as a tool for engineers"
Artificial intelligence, especially machine learning, is a tool that will shape all areas of a company in the coming years. The aim of the keynote is to demonstrate the potential of the technology for products and processes with concrete examples and at the same time demystify the hype somewhat.
  • Ramine Roane from Xilinx: "Solving the AI productization challenges: Adaptability from sensor to brain to action"
In his keynote speech, Roane will discuss the hardware and software platforms for artificial intelligence and present the main features of Domain Specific Architecture (DSA).

Virtual forum: Function and advantages

The program is divided into three parallel lecture tracks:

  • The "AI in embedded applications" track includes presentations from Qualcomm, STMicroelectronics and the Hahn-Schickard-Gesellschaft, among others.
  • In the " AI in the car" track, Tier 1 suppliers Valeo and ZF Friedrichshafen will have their say, as will AI experts from dSpace and the Fraunhofer Institute for Cognitive Systems IKS, among others.
  • The "AI in the factory" track will bring together AI experts from Fraunhofer IPA, Fraunhofer IIS/EAS, Mathworks, Lenze.Digital, Hentschel System and Balluff, among others.

All presentations can be accessed afterwards. This means that you can not only follow one track live, but also follow all presentations from all tracks after the forum. As a participant, you can get in touch with the exhibitors and other participants in real time via live chats.

When you register, you will receive your personal access data for the virtual Artificial Intelligence Forum. Just like at a real event, you can take part in the lecture program, exchange ideas with other participants and speakers or even have a personal conversation. You can also make personal contact with the exhibitors in live chats.

In addition to the "normal" chat, there is also a special networking option: all participants are randomly connected by video call during a networking roulette to establish a connection. We offer the option of people from the same company not being connected, so you only see new faces!

Just like in a webinar, our speakers are connected via webcam and guide you through their presentation in person. Afterwards, they are available for questions. The advantage for you: you can take part directly in the Q&A session live, but you can also call up presentations afterwards. So if you are interested in two presentations taking place at the same time, you can follow both of them.

You can register for the Artificial Intelligence Forumhere.
