Florence Verzelen becomes Executive Vice President for EMEA
Dassault Systèmes has appointed Florence Verzelen as Executive Vice President for Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA). She will report directly to Pascal Daloz, CEO of Dassault Systèmes.
In her new role, Florence Verzelen will lead the EMEA region and work closely with the regional leadership teams to drive growth and develop new business opportunities. This is in line with Dassault Systèmes' strategy to expand products and services across industries and organizations. In parallel to her new responsibilities, Florence Verzelen will remain in charge of Infrastructure and Cities. In this role, she will support customers in leveraging the capabilities of '3D UNIV+RSES' for the development and manufacturing of products and services in the Generative Economy.
Verzelen brings almost 30 years of experience and leadership expertise to her new role. She has been a member of the Dassault Systèmes Executive Board for seven years, during which time she has been responsible for the Industry, Marketing, Services, Education and Sustainability divisions, among others. She was also the driving force behind the development of the company's sustainability strategy and played a central role in the launch of the '3DExperience Edu' division.
Before joining Dassault Systèmes, Verzelen worked for the European Commission and the French State Secretariat for European Affairs. She then took on several management positions at the energy supply group Engie, including CEO for Qatar and later COO for Europe and Russia.
She is a member of the Board of Directors of Nexity, the Centre National d'Études Spatiales (the French space agency), France 2030 and the Institut Montaigne think tank. Verzelen graduated from the École Polytechnique - Corps des Mines in France and was awarded the French Order of Merit.
