Application Days - tips and trends for users
The Application Days start on September 22. Bundled into themed days, you can take part in free web seminars, roundtables and keynotes on topics such as safety & security, IoT platforms and robotics.
IRIS - Outlook into a digital future: The value streams of your entire factory on one software platform
With IRIS, Lisa Bortz and Jonas Häntzschel introduce you to an innovative and modular software that further digitalizes your production, networks machines and collects data from a wide variety of scales and other quality parameters, merges them and evaluates them clearly in real time.
The web seminar "IRIS - Outlook into a digital future: The value streams of your entire factory on one software platform" starts on September 22 at 10:00 am.
Challenges in functional safety in conjunction with artificial intelligence
Prof. Dr. Ossmane Krini, Director of the Institute for Functional Safety, Cyber Security and AI at DHBW Lörrach
© DHBWRobotic systems are becoming increasingly important in critical applications. However, there are currently only a few methods that can reliably predict critical failures or a critical failure rate for critical systems. Stochastics and probability theory play an important role in this.
However, new approaches need to be developed so that reliable predictions can be made. A new approach reflects the remaining number of critical failures and focuses on the differentiation of both critical and non-critical failures in software, e.g. software for real-time systems.
The paper gives an overview of the creation of an estimator that focuses on fault detection in safety-related systems.
The web seminar "Challenges in Functional Safety in conjunction with Artificial Intelligence" with Prof. Dr. Ossmane Krini starts on September 23 at 09:00 am.
From availability to supply chain integrity
The security of industrial environments is increasingly becoming the focus of discussion. On the one hand, there are buzzwords such as Industry 4.0, smart factory or disruptive business models - and the opportunities they promise. On the other hand, there are often fears about availability, attacks by cyber criminals or possible reputational damage.
In the web seminar, Udo Schneider takes a look at the phases of increasing networking towards modern "intelligent" systems and highlights various security measures appropriate to each phase.
The web seminar "From Availability to Supply Chain Integrity" starts on September 23 at 10:00 am.
More security thanks to automatic inventory, risk and vulnerability assessment of OT
If you want to have a good overview of your OT network, you need to know all the assets in the network! But the documentation must also be kept up to date to avoid unpleasant surprises and ensure the safety of your systems at all times.
With the Asset Inventory Service, an up-to-date inventory list of all plant components or the entire production plant can be generated at the touch of a button. In addition, thanks to a comparison with the latest CVE data, all insecure protocols, misconfigurations and other security gaps in the industrial network as well as in the respective devices can be assessed quickly and easily.
Learn more about automatic inventory, risk and vulnerability assessment as well as backup and disaster recovery of all your OT assets for more cyber security in the web seminar with Tim Weckerle!
The web seminar "More security thanks to automatic inventory, risk and vulnerability assessment of OT" starts on September 23 at 11:00 am.
Securing the future of mobility with Fortinet: New opportunities for the automotive industry
The automotive industry is currently experiencing the greatest upheaval in its history. Automotive technology, information technology (IT) and operational technology (OT) must be bundled so that customer requirements can be met. This needs to happen as quickly as possible.
You may think that you can meet this challenge alone. And you're right. You probably can. By leveraging the expertise of key technology partners who are interested in your long-term success, we can achieve this goal together much faster and in a much better position than if we were to go it alone.
Learn more about the future of mobility, business opportunities, the Mobility Security Standard - WP.29 and the added value Fortinet can offer you in the web seminar with Christian Pellkofer, Lead Systems Engineer IoT/OT at Fortinet.
The web seminar "Securing the future of mobility with Fortinet: New Opportunities for the Automotive Industry" begins on September 23 at 2:00 pm.
