Actuator with galaxy gearbox

High torque density and rigidity, good damping properties, zero backlash and a large hollow shaft - these are the features combined in the new miniaturized 'Galaxie' actuator from Wittenstein.

The actuator consists of a housingless motor from the 'cyber kit line small', combined with a miniaturized galaxy gearbox with a hollow shaft up to 35 mm in size. Due to its overload capacity and torsional rigidity, it is suitable for surgical and high-precision robotics. The actuator from Wittenstein can be individually configured in terms of its performance parameters and equipment depending on the task - including motor dimensioning, brake, connection to the application, power supply, cable connection technology and feedback system - and it is also easy to integrate. Due to its high torsional rigidity and high emergency stop torque, the miniaturized actuator offers a special safety reserve as standard. In addition to the actuator presented here, the miniaturized Galaxie gearbox can also be used with standard industrial motors.
