Vinci Energies integrates Kühne+Vogel
Actemium, the energy brand of the Vinci Group, acquires the Franconian company Kühne+Vogel and expects to gain additional expertise in the field of drive technology for continuous fabric conveyors.
Founded in 1987 and based in Roth near Nuremberg, Kühne+Vogel specializes in manufacturing processes with continuous webs in the paper, cable, film and converting industries. Among other things, it is known for 'Extrumatic', a standardized modular automation system for the wire and cable industry. In October 2018, the company had around 50 employees and an annual turnover of around EUR 12 million.
One of the aims of the integration into Vinci Energies is to be able to offer Actemium's customers an even more comprehensive, cross-industry service portfolio thanks to expanded solution expertise in a large network. For Actemium, the integration of the company offers "new growth potential across several highly specialized industries", says Frank Westphal, Managing Director of Vinci Energies Germany and CEO of Actemium Germany. "Our industry-focused brand is thus bundling additional expertise in the construction and modernization of specific production facilities - from hardware and software engineering to assembly and service. We are thus expanding our solutions expertise to include the cable industry, multi-motor systems for the paper and cardboard industry as well as the film and converting industry."
