SPS Connect 26.11. - 16:20 - 16:40
Relieving the load on fieldbuses with Drive Intelligence
Data, data, data and no end in sight. The flood of data is constantly increasing: new tasks and higher requirements are making communication via fieldbuses in modern machines and systems ever more complex. Integration into the IIoT increases the amount of data even further.
Automation suppliers are responding to this trend by developing new, more powerful fieldbuses. At the same time, the demands on the controller's computing power are increasing.
One solution is to relocate the intelligence to the drive. This relieves the burden on fieldbuses and the central controller and makes the automation system leaner and more scalable. The presentation will show the challenges facing machine manufacturers and the intelligent drive concepts that can be used to create alternative topologies: An insight into how data volumes in the fieldbus can be reduced, central control systems relieved and machines and systems made more productive.
Karl-Heinz Wirsching, Senior Product Manager at Baumüller, welcomes you to the presentation "Data, data, data and no end in sight - relieving the burden on fieldbuses with Drive Intelligence".
Date: November 26, SPS Connect - 4:20 - 4:40 p.m.
