Once again this year, entrepreneurs, designers and inventors have the opportunity to submit their original products and alleged imitations to the 'Plagiarius' competition and nominate the plagiarist as the winner of the negative prize.

The company Busch-Jaeger Elektro from Lüdenscheid has also fallen victim to product piracy. The design and function of its 'KNX' presence detector have been clumsily copied 1:1, although the counterfeit from Hefei Ecolite Software in China is less powerful and has a smaller detection range. Busch-Jaeger has had the design protected in the EU and also in China.
