08 - Advantech: Embedded computer for edge AI applications
Advantech launches the 'EPC-B3000' series of high-performance computers - consisting of the EPC-B3522 and EPC-B3588 - supporting Nvidia Quadro GPU cards and up to four full-height PCIe cards. The series complies with EMC and security guidelines. The EPC-B3588 uses DDR5 and PCIe Gen5. Housed in a 360 mm × 310 mm × 134 mm form factor-compliant housing, the series is particularly suitable for tasks in the field of AI-supported inspection and/or packet recognition. According to the manufacturer, it improves GPU-accelerated processes at the edge while enabling multiprocessing and smooth service workflows. The Advantech EPC-B3522 uses AMD Ryzen AM4 5000 series processors with 16 cores and 32 threads to enable parallel AI algorithms. In contrast, the EPC-B3588 uses 12th generation Intel Core processors with support for up to 128 Gbytes of DDR5 and PCIe x16 Gen 5 to transfer high-speed signals between the processors and additional GPU cards.
