Microsoft introduced trust-based working hours in 1998, and two years ago compulsory attendance was abolished. At its new German headquarters in Munich, the company has now also abolished offices. Instead, there are cafés and co-working spaces. Here are the pictures.

Bright thanks to the glass roof: two years of construction, seven floors, 26,000 square metres - with the "Smart Workspace" in Munich-Schwabing, Microsoft Germany has implemented its office concept for "Working 4.0" and its vision of a fully networked organization. A few weeks ago, 1,900 employees moved into the IT group's new German headquarters, which is now officially open.
