There have also been changes in the occupational fields: at 23.7%, the share of the occupational field 'development' is at its highest level since the Dekra Labor Market Report was conducted for the ninth time. The IT and engineering professions are significantly involved in this. Despite increasing automation, production companies still require particularly qualified specialists at the human-machine interface: In the plant control and automation field of activity, it is currently mainly machine and plant operators as well as cutting machine operators and lathe operators.
