How high is the salary increase for engineers and technicians in 2016? In which positions and regions of Germany do they earn the most? What influence does the degree have? Kienbaum gets to the bottom of these questions in its latest salary report.
Not surprisingly, women are hardly represented in technical professions: The proportion of women in all technical positions covered by the Kienbaum study is 10%. Women only hold 7% of management positions and 11% of specialist positions. Compared to their male colleagues, they earn around 12% less in management positions. The figure is 17% for specialists and 16% for skilled workers.
