Die VDMA-Mitgliedsunternehmen der Wasser- und Abwassertechnik konnten ihre Exporte 2011 um 16 Prozent auf 773 Millionen Euro erhöhen. Die stärksten Exportmärkte 2011 waren Russland mit 73 Millionen Euro, gefolgt von China (50 Millionen Euro), den USA (43 Millionen Euro), Frankreich (38,5 Millionen Euro) und Italien (33,7 Millionen Euro).
