Electrical engineering' trade fair attracts visitors to Dortmund
From February 15 to 17, 2017, 'Elektrotechnik' will open its doors in Dortmund for the 41st time. With the two focus areas of industrial and building applications, it aims to cover the entire spectrum of electrical engineering and industrial electronics.
A supporting program with specialist lectures, free of charge for trade fair visitors, complements the range of around 400 exhibitors expected by Messe Westfallenhallen Dortmund as the organizer. Special exhibition areas such as 'Werk-Stadt' or 'Touch 'n' try' are designed to bring technology to life. Important industry topics will be prepared in so-called 'areas of tension' and presented in the form of practical specialist forums and lectures. With the 'Smart Home' area, the E-House of the German Electrical and IT Trades Association (ZVEH) and the joint stand of the North Rhine-Westphalia Electrical and IT Trades Association (FEH NRW) and the German Electrical Wholesalers' Association (VEG), Hall 6 will be the contact point for building technology alongside Halls 3B and 4.
In the 'Automation & Efficiency' area in Hall 5, an electrotechnical trend topic from the industrial sector will be addressed for the first time on each day of the trade fair: 'Automation for Industry 4.0' on the first day, 'Maintenance 4.0 & Predictive Maintenance' on the second and 'Efficiency in commercial and industrial areas' on the third. The 'Trends & Technologies' area in Hall 4 will also deal with industry-relevant topics, particularly those relating to switch cabinet construction.
