The single-board RIO controller is ultimately designed to cover applications with maximum flexibility. The Zync SoC from Xilinx is installed on the single-board RIO controller and runs NI Linux Real-Time on its Cortex-A9 ARM CPUs, which are clocked at 667 MHz. What all three device versions have in common is that they combine Intel CPUs with FPGAs from Xilix. They are supported by LabVIEW software, the Labview FPGA module and NI's 64-bit OS Real-Time Linux, which is now based on the security-enhanced Linux that has been expanded to include various security mechanisms for industrial IoT applications.
