The SQL4automation Connector from Inasoft exchanges data between PLCs, robot controllers and databases. Creating a database connection with the connector only requires a few settings. The solution gives controllers access to SQL databases using familiar programming environments. With the SQL language (Structured Query Language), data can be queried from tables, inserted into tables, modified and deleted. A cycle only takes a few milliseconds. This speed advantage pays off, especially with large amounts of data. All databases with an ODBC interface are supported. This means that data can be written not only to Microsoft SQL Server, SAP, Oracle or MySQL, but also to Excel sheets. The user is not confronted with changes or further developments to the standard interfaces. The control system determines which data is transferred. The connector software only serves as a gateway, which simplifies adaptations, as these are implemented in the familiar programming software. Any controller with a TCP/IP interface can be used as a data supplier. Ready-made libraries are available for leading PLC and robot controllers, which only need to be integrated into the project and can be downloaded from the homepage.
