The Profibus tester BC-700-PB from Softing is a diagnostic and troubleshooting tool for comprehensive testing of Profibus segments during operation and can also be used for cable testing. The device is battery-operated and thus offers maintenance engineers and commissioning engineers mobility in the field. Test results are shown on the new graphical display during stand-alone operation and can be exported to a PC for further analysis. According to the manufacturer, the device is suitable for less experienced users thanks to its intuitive menu navigation. The PC software offers fieldbus specialists additional functions for carrying out, analyzing and managing measurements.
