The TRY14 Hall-effect thumb joystick from Megatron has similarities with gamepad joysticks in terms of size and operation. According to the manufacturer, it has robust mechanics, a sturdy housing and good haptic properties. The miniature joystick with IP68/IP69K protection class is operated with the thumb and controls either one or two axes. The spring return helps the joystick to return to its original position. A force of around 3 N is required for actuation, which enables fatigue-free operation in handles, swivel arms or remote controls. A typical application is the installation in the handle of multifunction joysticks as an additional control or input element. Depending on the intended use, users can choose from various knob shapes, including those with an integrated push-button function. Weighing around 18 g, the joystick is designed for over 1 million movement cycles. The joystick is easy to install thanks to an optional screw flange. It is available with analog, PWM, USB and dual signal output signals.
