With Ixxat Econ 100, HMS offers an embedded PC solution for real-time industrial Ethernet. The system is an ARM-based platform for DIN rail mounting with a Linux operating system and multi-protocol support. In addition to the existing interfaces (2 x Ethernet, 2 x CAN and 2 x USB), an expansion board provides new possibilities: In addition to analog and digital I/Os, the expansion board offers a serial interface, 512 MByte NVRAM and a slot for the Anybus CompactCom modules from HMS, which are available for all common fieldbus and Industrial Ethernet interfaces and protocols. The expansion card also has a total of 24 inputs and outputs as well as an additional RS232/RS485 interface. The device has up to 1 GB of RAM and a fanless design with an extended temperature range of -40 to +60 °C.
