In addition to WLAN data transmission, the Sigmatek HGW 1033-32 handheld terminal is equipped with safety elements, a high-resolution 10.1-inch multi-touch display and three rotary encoders.
Without cables, the operator can get close to the machine or robot and thus keep an eye on the process. The necessary safety is provided by the integrated safety elements enabling switch, key switch and active-luminous emergency stop. The operator can keep an eye on the machine or the robot and, for example, move the axes almost blindly via the rotary encoders. In addition, several machining cells can be operated with just one panel. A safe 7-segment display for machine identification is integrated for this purpose. Data transmission, be it function-related data or safety data, is handled via the BWH 01 base station according to the Black Channel principle. The redundant data transmission on separate WLAN frequency bands (2.4 and 5 GHz) increases the availability of the radio network. A battery pack guarantees 2-hour continuous operation without recharging. The HGW 1033-32 supports OPC UA communication and has USB interfaces as standard.
