Study: Racism in the context of business and work

The main focus of companies is profit orientation in order to survive in competition. However, companies also have a responsibility to society as a whole, whether they want to or not.

The workplace that companies offer people is of great importance to individuals and society. Very different biographies come together in a company and spend a large part of their time there. This means that problems affecting society as a whole, such as racism, are also present and negotiated in the workplace, i.e. in the company. The study "Racism in the context of business and work" therefore focuses on this problem with the aim of using the findings on racist discrimination in the workplace to provide a basis for discussion and recommendations for action.

"Racism in the context of business and work" is based on surveys conducted by Civey for Gesicht Zeigen! and EY (Ernst & Young) in summer 2020.
